A Night Out In Las Vegas

What would you wear for a night out in Las Vegas? The city is known for gambling, crazy night life and fine dining where nothing is too over-the-top. Having a fancy dinner with your significant other? Don't know what make-up to wear? I'm here to help you out:

Aria Resort & Casino, Las Vegas

A few weeks ago I had the chance to team up with bloggers from all around the world, just for fun. Our main task was to get inspired by the beautiful Aria resort and do either a make-up look, lookbook or hair style. Well of course I decided to do a make-up look. The main idea behind my look is a fancy dinner with my significant other. A date night, basically.

Since it is a date night, you don't want to go too over-the-top, even though you're in Vegas. In my mind, a date night is an occasion where you want to feel polished, sophisticated and comfortable at the same time.

Sage Restaurant, Aria Resort

The dinner takes place at the elegant Sage Restaurant. The colour combination of the restaurant is classic and gorgeous: purple and gold is a beautiful colour pairing that inspired my make-up look as well. Leaving bright lip colours behind is a smarter option, you're having a dinner with your Sweetheart after all. Go for a nude lip that suits your skin tone the most. I applied lipliner and longwearing lipstick to avoid my lipcolour  from smearing and fading.

As I said, I used  purple & gold colours on my eyes, creating subtle smokey eyes. You can go for a heavier smokey look if that's what you prefer. Men tend to love smokey eyes on their beloved ones, especially at occasions like a fancy dinner.

I applied individual lashes to the outer corner of my eyes, adding a little oomph to the whole look. Individual lashes are more sophisticated than strip lashes, and they are easier to use. These will not lift like strip lashes do.

Use a blush that compliments the eye look. Here I used a peachy pink shade that doesn't take over the face, yet gives a healthy flush. Don't forget to use primer and powder if you have oily skin like I do.

The products I used:

Lips:
Essence lipliner - 01 Soft Rose
Eyes:
MAC Phloof! & Quarry eyeshadows
Urban Decay eyeshadows: Sin, Half Baked, Naked
Catrice Liquid Metal 3D eyeshadow - We're The Inner Purple
Essence Effect eye pencil - Gold-digger
Essence Longlasting eye pencil - Berry Merry
Avon eye primer
Max Factor Colour X-pert waterproof eyeliner
Rimmel Lash Accelerator mascara
individual lashes

inner corner: MAC Phloof!
crease: MAC Quarry
lid (corners): Catrice 3D purple eyeshadow
UD Sin + Half Baked mixed together (center of the lid)
Essence gold & purple eyeliners on lower lashline
Face:

Catrice Infinite Matt Make Up - 010 Light Beige
NYX HD Concealer
Skinfood Salmon concealer
Catrice Lash & Brow Designer gel
Max Factor blush - Classic Rose
Essence Metal Glam highlighter - Gold Digger
(it is a slightly gold highlighter, ties in with the eye look)
