I'm here with the last post regarding the new Essence products. I already uploaded the posts of the Catrice & Essence stuff that is going to be discontinued, and I also posted info about the new Catrice products. Scroll back on the blog for them, or click the links at the end of this post.
Let me just say that individually editing 500 pictures wasn't fun, but finally I'm finished with them, for now. A ton of photos coming after the jump!

Megérkeztem az utolsó bejegyzéssel a megszűnő és új termékeket illetően. A megszűnő Catrice és Essence, valamint az új Catrice termékek bejegyzéseit már éjjel feltöltöttem, lapozzatok vissza a blogon értük, de alulra is belinkelem őket.

Alverde Shimmer Blush - 10 Secret Rose | Review + Swatches

This blush is all over the internet, especially instagram. I totally understand why, we just have to look at it and its pretty 3D wrinkled effect. Let's see how it works:

Mindenütt ebbe a pirosítóba ütközik az ember, ha instagramon nézelődik. Meg tudom érteni, hogy miért, hisz csak egy pillantást kell vetni az érdekes, gyűrött anyag hatású púderre, és máris belopja magát az ember szívébe. Lássuk, hogy annyira jól teljesít-e, mint amennyire szép.


Alverde schimmer-rouge (shimmer blush) - 10 Secret Rose

Like most Alverde products, the blush has sturdy green plastic packaging. Nothing new here. You get 9 g of product, which is a lot. The price of it is 8-9$.

Féltem, hogy hozzánk nem hozzák be ezt a pirosítót, de szerencsére nem így lett. Az Alverdére jellemző, zöld keményebb műanyag csomagolásban foglal helyet a púder. Kilenc gramm terméket kapunk, ami sok, majdnem kétszer annyi, mint a legtöbb pirosító tömege. Az ára 1600 Ft körül van, de én 50%-os kuponnal vettem 7-800 forintért.

The first thing we immediately notice is the beautiful 3D effect of the surface of the powder, it looks like wrinkled fabric. Gorgeous! I am pretty sure that is the reason why most people bought it, including me.

Ami egyből feltűnik, az a pirosító felszíne: olyan, mint a gyűrött selyem. Csodaszép! Valószínűleg ezért ilyen népszerű, és én is ezért vettem meg.

Another nice thing about the blush is how you can customize its colour. It is made out of 3 different colour sections; and we get a pale pink shade when mixing the 3 colours together. It is a sheer shimmery blush, so I don't think that it would work well with darker skintones.

Ha egyenletes mennyiséget használunk a 3 színből, egy csillámos, sápadt rózsaszín árnyalatot kapunk, ami remekül mutat a nagyon világos és világos bőrűeken. Now let's talk about the features I don't like. It is very powdery, there is a lot of fallout, you will see that on the last photo. The powder is very soft and fragile, so it kicks up a lot of excess powder. The wrinkled fabric effect wears down quite fast because of that. Most Alverde products are scented, this one is no exception. It has a strong perfume scent that can be overwhelming. The pigmentation also could be better.

Lépjünk tovább a negatívumokra. A púder rendkívül puha és selymes, ezért sajnos nagyon porzik, ezt majd látni lehet az utolsó képen. Már egy-két használat után jelentősen kopik a 3D gyűrött hatás, annyira törékeny és puha a púder. Az illata erős, mint a legtöbb Alverde terméknek. Illatanyagra érzékenyek kerüljék. A pigmentáció szintén lehetne erősebb.

All in all, if you are a blush junkie and you collect blushes, you will like this one. I tend to collect face powders that are unique, so I picked it up too. Don't get me wrong, I don't think that it sucks, I can use it just fine on my fair skin. However, if you are new to makeup and you want a foolproof blush, you might want to consider trying the Essence Silky Touch blushes instead.

Összességében annyira nem teljesít jól, mint amennyire szép. Akkor ajánlom, ha valaki imádja a pirosítókat, és gyűjti a különlegesebb darabokat. Ha viszont valaki épp most kezd barátkozni a sminkeléssel, és egy minden alkalomra jó, könnyen kezelhető pirosítóval szeretné kezdeni a gyűjteményét, akkor érdemesebb lenne körülnézni az Essence, RDL vagy Catrice háza táján. Félreértés ne essék, nem azt mondom, hogy rossz ez a pirosító. Nagyon szép és egyedi, és a feladatát is ellátja, csak tömörebb textúrára számítottam. Hófehérkék előnyben!

Makeup Revolution Haul - Salvation Palettes | MUR az Auchanban!

I am here with a little Makeup Revolution haul today. I love the brand, and Hungarian Auchans are selling their 12 palettes for a limited time only, so I really wanted to buy more of these gorgeous palettes.

Ez a haul jó ok arra, hogy leírjam azt, hogy december 24-ig az Auchanban is megtalálhatjátok a MUR palettákat. Egy hete én is sikerrel jártam, és két újabb, csodaszép palettát adtam a készletemhez. Lássuk:

Normally, you can order MUR products only from webstores (if you live in Hungary), that means additional shipping price and all that jazz. I was so happy when I found out that Auchan will sell them for a limited time, this way I save money.

Az Auchan oldalán olvasható, hogy december 24-ig 1500 Ft-ért vásárolhatóak meg a MUR 12-es palettái. Ezeken kívül még az I ♥ Makeup Go! palettáit is láttam, illetve a MUR óriási, 100-as szemhéjpalettáját. Utóbbi 3-4000 Ft körül volt. Azt nem tudom, hogy eddig is volt-e MUR az Auchanban, és ez a december 24-ei dátum csak az akciós árra vonatkozik-e, vagy arra, hogy utána egyáltalán nem lesz kapható a márka. Én nagyon örülnék, ha az egész állvány bekerülne a magyar üzletekbe, mert hihetetlenül jó ez a márka.

Végül az Essential Shimmersés a Hot Smoked palettákat vettem meg. Mindkettő gyönyörű, és hozza a MUR által bemutatott szuper minőségét. A polcokon megtalálható volt még az egyik neon színű paletta, az Iconic 3, a Romantic Smoked és az Essential Mattes paletta is, bár az utóbbi három paletta már nyár óta boldogítja a gyűjteményem.

The Viennart limited collection is available since last week (in Hungary), and boy, is it a lovely collection. I picked up a couple of products, and hopefully I will be able to post the haul soon. The star of the show today is one of the nail polishes.

A Viennart kollekció egy hete elérhető a Rossmannokban. Semmit sem terveztem venni a képek alapján, de élőben annyira szép minden, hogy bántam volna, ha nem veszek semmit. Hamarosan a haul / smink is felkerül a blogra. Ma a kollekció egyik lakkját mutatom meg.



Vienna Rose Woods is a dark rose colour that looks brown under certain lighting. It has tiny pink, purple, gold and red micro flakies / shimmer to it, which makes the colour unique. You will need 2 to 3 coats for full coverage.

Rival de Loop Young Quattro Eyeshadow Palette - Chocohontas | Review + Swatches

Let's go back to RDL for a second, because I've had this review saved as a draft for a while now. Today I am going to show you one of their quattro eyeshadow palettes:

The palette itself is very small and compact with a transparent lid. You also get a tiny sponge tip applicator with it.


The shade name is adorable, and so are the colours. I like that you can create a whole look with this palette only; you don't really need to reach for another palette to find matte shades. The colours go well together, I usually use the khaki green as my lid colour, the brown in my crease, the shimmery beige as the inner corner highlight, and the matte white as the browbone highlight. I feel like this palette could be a great everyday friend if you're in a hurry in the mornings.

I will start with the negative features, there are 2 of them. The first one being the 2 shades in the middle. They are tiny and hard to reach with most brushes. You have to use a really small brush to apply those shades, and hope that your brush wont pick up any of the other shades. The other thing I don't really like is the powdery texture of the eyeshadows. You have to tap your brush real good, otherwise you will get fallout.

Now let's move on to the things I like about the palette:
There are 2 matte shades, one for the crease, and one browbone highlight. You don't often see matte shades in drugstore quattros. The pigmentation is good, the most pigmented shade is the metallic khaki green. The matte white shade is subtle, which is good in this case, because you don't want to use a stark white as your brow highlight. My swatches are kinda poor though, the shades look better on the eyes. As I said above, it was really hard to reach the shades in the middle of the palette without overlapping.

Today I will show you how to create simple yet chic nails for Christmas.You don't need fancy nail art tools, nor nail artist skills to do this mani. You only need a couple of nail stickers, glitter top coats and the base colours of your choice.

I suspect that I'm not the only one who ran out of time before Christmas. Since these mix-and-match style nails are really popular this year, I decided to try it out as well. By mix-and-match, I mean that you have more than one statement nail on one hand, but again, I don't know the official term for this kind of manicure.

I decided to use traditional Christmas colours: a sexy red, a deep jewel green, and a pale gold shade. I put a couple of snowflake nail stickers on top of the red colour (my thumb has the same design). I applied a pale gold sand polish on my ring finger, and I coated my green nail polish with gold and red glitter. The result: a simple, time-saving and elegant looking manicure. Your nails will look like you've spent hours on them, when, in fact, that's not true.

Ugly Christmas Sweaters And 50 Shades Of Grey Lingerie & Nightwear | For Fun

I hope you are having a great Holiday season. I mentioned in November that I'll show you the photos of these gems I discovered at Tesco. I refuse to do any kind of serious, time-consuming blogpost during this year's Christmas. Let's see the fun stuff:

There is a ton of Christmas-themed clothing at Tesco this year, which amuses me greatly. The sweaters aren't even that ugly, I find most of them adorable. I would totally wear the penguin or the reindeer one.

F&F 50 Shades of Grey lingerie and nightwear

Also, you might know that F&F and 50 Shades Of Grey has a collab collection, and I wanted to check them out really badly. I managed to find them at a bigger Tesco. The pieces above are cute, but unfortunately they are way too expensive for what they are.

I was most interested in the black lingerie, but oh boy, the fabric of these is terrible and cheap (shown on the photo above). It's really disappointing, because they are made out of simple undershirt material.

The men's underwear, however, is pretty awesome and hilarious. You don't necessarily need to know the book or the context to buy these for your man. They still make sense, especially if you happen to be in a D/s relationship. Cheezy, labelled underwear is never not funny.


The F&F and 50 SOG collab has way prettier pieces in other countries, but Hungary, as always, sucks.

Happy New Year! As you guessed, I am going to show you a haul today. I bought a couple of things in November and December.

I also picked up the blonde Catrice eyebrow marker, because I received the dark one in a goodie bag, and it was too dark. I love these! I use the dark brown as eyeliner, because these markers have a very fine brush tip (like the Kat Von D tattoo liner), and they are very easy to use. I also bought one of the new Catrice velvet lipsticks (dark plum shade), but I forgot to take photos of it.

I adore dark vampy lipsticks with blonde hair. The black longlasting Essence lipstick was sold out everywhere for months, but surprisingly I found it at Asia Center. That's right, now you can buy there Essence too.

The Good Girl Bad Girl collection also has a very dark purple lipstick, so I bought that one as well.

The purple lippie on the left is Landinski by H&M, I've been eyeing it for a year. The only bad thing about it is the fact that it was opened and used by someone, and the person put it back to its plastic case, so I couldn't tell that it was opened and used before I got home. Not cool, H&M.

Catrice Viennart Limited Collection | Haul, Review & Eye Look

The Viennart limited edition has been available for 3 weeks here in Hungary. I checked and swatched the products in store, and eventually bought 4 items. This LE is so much more gorgeous in real life, when you actually swatch them. The promo photos didn't do it justice. I will show you an eye look, a lip look and, of course, I will review the products.

Catrice Viennart shimmering lip colour - Nude Nouveau

Let's start with the lipstick. I wasn't interested in buying any of them at all, but this nude one swatched so beautifully I almost started to cry (just kidding, but I definitely was touched). It is a peachy nude shade with gold shimmer, the beauty of this colour is unreal. It reminds me of Nars Orgasm, but with more peach tones to it (so that's basically Nars Deep Throat, am I right?)

The texture of it is extremely creamy and soft, so be careful when you apply it. The longevity of it is surprisingly good, you would not expect that from a creamy lipstick. You can kinda feel the lil shimmer particles on your lips, but it's barely noticeable. Give me 10 of these! It's my new favourite nude lipstick.

The baked eyeshadows are gorgeous, with lace-like texture on them. Both of them are very soft and pigmened. Baked eyeshadows are my biggest obsession next to cream eyeshadows, so the fact that these have such great quality is amazing. Catrice's baked eyeshadows have always been excellent.

Pearly Plastering is a very light, pinky lavender shade, I would say it is the cool tone sister of MAC Phloof!. This one definitely has a cool, blue-ish lavender undertone to it, while Phloof! is warmer compared to Pearly Plastering. Stunning Stucco is a mauve pink, and it is definitely lighter on the skin than it looks in the pan. Both of them have frosty pearl finish.

Októberben hazánkba is bekerültek a 2 méteres Catrice állványok, sokan már biztosan vásároltatok is róluk. Ezt egy bloggertalálkozó keretében ünnepeltük meg, amire én is hivatalos voltam. Ma erről az eseményről hoztam sok-sok képet.

I love the little bird cage-like tealight candle holder. The flower's colour was matching the ribbon's colour, I love small details like that.

Nagyon tetszik a kis madárketrec alakú teamécses tartó. A virág színe összhangban volt a szalag színével. Szeretem az ilyen apró részleteket.

Sephora Haul | Urban Decay And Too Faced

As a Hungarian makeup lover, it is very satisfying to put my hands on makeup products from Sephora. Obviously, we can't buy any of those brands here, unless we order from ebay - which is not gonna happen due to the ridiculous shipping prices. Let's see the goodies!



What would a first Sehora haul be without Urban Decay and Too Faced products? Thanks to my Naked palettes, I know that UD is worth every penny, so I bought my all time favourite eyeshadow ever.

Moreover, I picked up the popular Too Faced Shadow Insurance, because it has a cult following. I've tried the Urban Decay Primer Potion (love that one), but I've never tried anything from Too Faced. I've been wanting to try the Shadow Insurance since 2010 (!!!), so I was really glad to get my hands on it. Too bad that by the time I bought it, turns out that they changed the formula of it, and it's not as good as it used to be, according to others. Oh well.


By the way, I bought these the same way I bought my Bath and Body Works pocket bacs: with the help of my friend's brother, who went to the States in August. He was nice enough to pick these up for me, being the only products I wanted from Sephora for now. Well, let me tell you, they were pricey (around 9000 HUF for the two products), but still, it was the most budget friendly way to buy them, because they are the "cheapest" in the US.

The eyeshadow I bought is the beautiful and precious Sin, the most gorgeous mono eyeshadow of life. Sin is my favourite colour out of any brands and shades. I've been on a hunt for a dupe for years. Even though I have many similar shades, I don't own an exact dupe. Hunting for dupes was the reason I started to buy MAC eyeshadows, but neither Naked Lunch, nor Jest is a dupe. The search for dupes is over now, because I own it as a mono eyeshadow as well, so I shouldn't be too stressed about using up the one in the Naked palette.

Ma a kedvenc, még 2013-ban felfedezett szemhéjpúdereimről írok. A cím nem véletlen, mert ezek a legjobb, még most is kapható kisütött / baked szemhéjpúderek, amiket valaha is próbáltam. Eszméletlen a pigmentációjuk, gyönyörű élénkek a színek, és mindezt filléres árért kaphatjuk meg. Lássuk hát őket; sok-sok kép következik.

I am here with an exciting review today, because I am going to show you the best baked eyeshadows you can buy. The pigmentation is out of this world! I've been a huge fan of these since 2013. Lots of photos after the jump!


Modelite duo bombe baked eyeshadows - the best baked eyeshadows

Nagyon nagy rajongója vagyok a kisütött típusú szemhéjpúdereknek, így nagyon sok márkától, nagyon sok félét próbáltam. Nagy meglepetésemre pont egy olyan márka lett a befutó, amit talán sokan nem is ismertek. Eddig csak az Ázsia Centeres Pink Beauty üzletben láttam őket, de gondolom az Arena plázás Pink Beauty-ban is kaphatóak. A márka amúgy francia, és itt a weboldaluk.

I am a huge fan of baked eyeshadows in general, so I have many colours from many brands. None of those are as excellent as these. You probably don't even know Modelite, it is a French brand. I bought my eyeshadows at Pink Beauty stores in Hungary, but Modelite has a website, if you want to look around.

A legjobb baked szemhéjpúder címet sokáig az Alverde márka képviselte, majd a Modelite is csatlakozott hozzá. Az Alverde sajnos elkövette az egyik legrosszabb dolgot, amit csak tehetett, ugyanis megszüntette a (most már) régi fajta baked szemhéjpúdereit, és újakat hozott a helyére, amik nem hogy negyed annyira sem pigmentáltak, de botrányosak az előző kisütött szemhéjpúdereikhez képest. A régi fajta kisütött szemhéjpúderüket amúgy ebben a bejegyzésben nézhetitek meg, ha most hirtelen nem emlékeznétek, hogy miről beszélek. Így nyerte el a legjobb, még ma is kapható baked szemhéjpúder címét a Modelite, és szintén jó dolog, hogy 650 Ft-ért juthattok hozzájuk. Mindegyikben 3.8 gramm termék kapott helyet, ami majdnem háromszor annyi, mint egy MAC vagy Urban Decay szemhéjpúder tömege.

The winner of the best baked eyeshadows used to be Alverde (along with Modelite), but Alverde decided to discontinue their gorgeous baked eyeshadows a couple of months ago. You can check one of the old ones in this blogpost, if you don't know what I'm talking about. Long story short, the new Alverde baked eyeshadows are terrible compared to the old ones, they are not pigmented at all, and the texture of them is very powdery. Good news is that you can still buy the Modelite ones, which are just as excellent quality as the old Alverde baked eyeshadows.

Ez első darabokat 2013 nyarán vettem meg, majd később az összes natúr szín és egy kék kombó is hazajött velem. Nem kell mondanom, hogy 2 hónap alatt elfogytak az üzletből, de szerencsére pár hónap után ismét kaphatóak voltak. Az egyetlen problémám ezzel, hogy valamilyen szinten változtattak a formulán, és a csomagolás sem tűnik annyira masszívnak az újakon. A duokróm árnyalatból az új szállítmány érkezésével eltűnt a duokróm hatás is, ami szintén szomorú, de erre még visszatérek. A teszterek alapján a pigmentáció ugyanolyan erős és szép, mint a legelső daraboknál. Mivel én a megjelenésükkor vettem az enyémeket, ezért a mai tesztalanyok az első generációs darabok, de a nyereményjátékos darab már az új szállítmányból való, mivel azt 2 hónapja vettem. 

One negative thing I need to mention is the fact that they changed the formula and the packaging since I bought mine in 2013. Today's review is about the old ones! The new baked eyeshadows' packaging is not as sturdy, and the duochrome shade is not duochrome anymore. Thankfully the pigmentation and softness is the same on the new ones as well, so they are still gorgeous.

Az első gondolat, ami beugrott, az az, hogy mennyire hasonlítanak ezek a Hard Candy Kaleyedoscope baked szemhéjpúder duóihoz. Utóbbit már évek óta kívánságlistára tettem, mert mindenki imádja őket, de a Hard Candy márka csak Amerikában kapható. Nagyon örültem, amikor kiderült a Modelite szemhéjpúdereiről, hogy ugyanolyan szuper minőségűek, így a Hard Candy kencékről le is tettem azóta. Nem lepődnék meg, ha kiderülne, hogy ugyanaz a két márka ellátója.

When I first saw these in 2013, I realized that they look exactly the same as the Hard Candy Kaleyedoscope baked eyeshadows. I've heard good things about the Hard Candy ones, and they have been on my wishlist since 2010, but unfortunately Hard Candy is only available in America. Based on reviews, these Modelite ones could be dupes, because they have the exact same softness and high pigmentation. If you look closely at the shades, you can see that even the brown shades look identical. I wouldn't be surprised if the supplier of Hard Candy and Modelite was the same. It's good news for me, because this way I don't have to order Hard Candy through ebay.

A legjobb bennük, hogy a színek pigmentációja hihetetlenül erős, és be sem kell nedvesíteni hozzá az ecsetet. A képen a swatchok egyetlen húzás eredményei, szárazon. Őrület, ugye? És ezt még mindig lehet fokozni, hisz az ecsetet benedvesítve még ennél is intenzívebb színt érhetünk el. Úgy az eredmény olyan lesz, mintha folyékony fémet vinnénk fel a bőrre. Nem győzöm hangsúlyozni, hogy életemben nem próbáltam még ilyen szuper színerősségű kisütött szemhéjpúdereket. Lemosás után is látszanak a bőrön, olyan sok bennük a pigment. Ezt látni fogjátok pár képpel lejjebb.

The best thing about these Modelite baked eyeshadows is the crazy pigmentation. The swatches on the photo are the result of one dry swipe, meaning that I didn't wet my fingers, and I only swiped the product once before swiping the product on my skin. The pigmentation is unreal, I've never had a baked eyeshadow this pigmented. You can still see the colours after washing them off! You will see that on a photo below.

As I mentioned, you can still see the colours after I washed my hand with lukewarm water. The texture of them is very soft, and they have minimal fallout compared to other baked eyeshadows. Now I'll show you each of the shades:

Íme a duokróm árnyalat, amit említettem a bejegyzés elején: Cafe Expresso. A jobb oldali szín egy csodás barna-sötétzöld duokróm árnyalat, hasonló a MAC Clubhoz, vagy a MAC Blue Brown pigmenthez. Sokkal pigmentáltabb, mint a Catrice megboldogult, szintén Club-dupe C'mon Chameleon árnyalata. Megmutatom majd külön bejegyzésben, fekete bázisra kenve, mert itt nem látszik olyan jól. Szomorú voltam, amikor felfedeztem, hogy az új szállítmány Cafe Expressojáról eltűnt ez a gyönyörű duokróm hatás, mert a legszebb darab volt az összes közül, Bízom benne, hogy amikor újabb adag érkezik, ismét a régebbi textúrával találkozhatok, és ez csak átmeneti zavar.

Above and below you can see the duochrome shade I mentioned before: Cafe Expresso. The right shade of the duo is a brown-green/blue duochrome, very similar to MAC Club or MAC Blue Brown pigment. It's beautiful! I'll show it over a black base in a future post, because the photos didn't do it justice. Now, the problem with the newest Modelite shadows is the fact that they took away the douchrome effect from this shade, and that's not cool. The new Cafe Expresso doesn't have the gorgeous blue shift through the dark brown shade, and that's sad. Please Modelite, bring back the original Cafe Expresso!

Képek 2013 szeptemberéből, még az előző fényképezőmmel készítve. Lassan két éve, hogy felfedeztem őket, és azóta is a legjobb kisütött szemhéjpúderek, amiket vehet az ember. Az egyetlen problémám az, hogy a csomagolásukon a Modelite felirat fél nap alatt lekopik, pedig nagyon vigyázok rájuk. Ha kicsit erősebben fogja meg az ember a szemhéjpúdert, már le is törölte a felirat felét. Ha régóta olvastok, tudjátok, hogy a könnyen lekopó felirat nagyon tud bosszantani.

You can see my very first photos of these eyeshadows from 2013, I took them with my previous camera. The only thing that bothers me is the fact that the Modelite writing wears of in a day on the lid. I always take care of my makeup, I don't throw them around, so I'm mad when a label wears off easily.

Essence Effect Eyeshadow Cream | Review + Swatches

The Essence Effect cream eyeshadows have been available since last summer, and they will be discontinued this month. I photographed them in July, so I thought I might as well write the review now, before they are gone.

The idea of these tube cream shadows is not new, Essence used to have very similar tube cream shadows a couple of years ago, you will see them towards the end of the post. I also will write this review in a new format, hope you'll like it.

Essence Effect eyeshadow creams

- 6 shades available, I own 3 of them
- they come in a tube, practical and easy to use
- each tube contains 7 ml of product, that is a lot
- you need a very small amount to cover both lids
- they have different finishes depending on the shade: satin, glitter, shimmer

- they cover very well in 1 layer
- you can't use more than one layer because it will look cakey and crispy
- you have to blend them quickly because they set fast
- once they set they don't move
- if you use them on their own, they will crease after 7 hours, that's pretty good
- if you set them with eyeshadow, they won't crease
- I use them as colour base

I remember that I had to visit several Müllers to find the coral one, I guess it was a popular shade. I was happy when I managed to buy it. I received the other ones in a goodie bag at a blogger event.

If you are a fan of cream eyeshadows, I'd definitely pick up a couple of them before they are gone. I'm biased towards cream shadows, so I really like them. If you're not into liquid / cream type shadows, you can skip these, Maybelline Color Tattoos are better. Even Essence had better cream shadows than these, but those have been discontinued as well.

Catrice Illuminating Blush | Review + Swatch

Catrice added a new blush line to its range a couple of months ago. Their defining blushes are very good, so I was excited to see the new blush family, not to mention the beauty of their adorable 3D design.


Catrice Illuminating blush - 020 Coral Me Maybe

There are 3 shades in total, I own the peach shade. The packaging is nice, it is made out of hard plastic. The unique feature of these illuminating blushes is the gorgeus rhombi 3D effect.

Shade name: 10/10, great job again, Catrice!

Coral Me Maybe is a peachy pink shade with subtle sheen and gold sparkles. Even though Catrice calls them illuminating blushes, it's not particularly true, because the sheen and the sparkles barely show up. You can't even see the gold sparkles on the face, and I don't mind that.

The pigmentation is not strong by any means, you can just slap it on and go, no need to worry about overdosing the colour. It swatches rather poorly, but it looks much better on the cheeks. You can build up the colour, it will give you a healthy flush. The lasting power is average, you can always prolong it with a cream blush base. It's easy to blend.

Coral Me Maybe is a gorgeous Spring-Summer shade for sure. You know that I love my peachy pink blushes, I have an entire blogpost about them, which I highly recommend you to check out. I'm planning to pick up the other two shades as well, because the 3D effect gets me every time.

Catrice Photo Finish 18h Foundation | Review, Before + After

Today's test subject is the Catrice Photo Finish foundation. It is going to be discontinued soon, so this is my last chance to post the review. Let's see how it works:


Catrice Photo Finish foundation

- it comes in a heavy frosted glass bottle with a pump
- the label says it's a liquid foundation, that's not true, it's a thick cream foundation
- it is very similar to the Catrice BB Allround foundation both in texture and coverage
- it has a strong perfume scent
- the direction of the label has changed over the years (L: old; R: new)

Catrice Photo Finish foundation

- it is oil-free but it strangely feels oily at first
- it doesn't feel oily once it's applied to the skin
- medium buildable coverage, covers small scars and pimples
- it will not cover heavy scarring, you'll need concealer for that
- best application: with a flat top kabuki brush or with the RT makeup sponge
- it has a lovely soft focus effect that looks great on photos, doesn't have any shimmer or glitter
- it has a skin-like finish and a natural glow without being shiny

- the lightest shade is too dark for fair skintones, I need to bronze up my neck 
- the lightest shade is 2-3 shades darker than the lightest shade of the Catrice All Matt Plus foundation, so if that one is a perfect colour match for you, this one will be a little dark
- it has a slight yellow undertone, but for the most part it's neutral
- it will break down after 5-6 hours on oily skin (only around the nose and mouth)
- oily skin people need to set it with powder
- it doesn't last for 18 hours (on oily skin)
- it doesn't hide dry patches or flaky skin (see below on my nose)
- it minimizes pores beautifully
- it blends easily
- it has lovely ingredients that will not irritate the skin

All in all, it is a decent foundation, and it's worth picking up before it's gone. Catrice makes the best drugstore foundations in my opinion, and this one is no exception. My biggest problem is its colour: even the lightest shade is a little dark for me, but I can make it work.

I'm here with another Autumn -Winter shade from a Spring-Summer collection, this time it's a beautiful mauve / berry shade. Can't stop, won't stop... talking about my OPI polishes, so let's see why I love this one:

Egy újabb csodás őszi-téli bogyó árnyalatot mutatok ma Nektek, amit itt-ott még biztosan meg fogtok találni az üzletekben. Nem tudok és nem is akarok nem beszélni a létező összes OPI lakkomról, mert annyira nagy rajongójuk lettem. Lássuk, hogy ezt a lakkot miért szeretem:


OPI Scores A Goal! nail polish

I've already mentioned that the Brazil collection has many gorgeous shades for Autumn and Winter, and this shade is no exception. I managed to buy it in October at Müller, and it truly is a lovely October-kinda shade. OPI Scores a Goal! is a vampy berry shade that looks mauve or rich brown in certain lighting.

Már említettem, hogy a tavaszi Brazil kollekcióban gyönyörű őszi lakkok kaptak helyet, és ez az árnyalat sem kivétel. Októberben sikerült beszereznem a Müllerben egy szuper kis akció keretében, és valóban, ha ránézek, egyből az október és az ősz jut az eszembe. Vagy a Vámpírok Bálja. Az OPI Scores A Goal! egy sötét, lilás bogyó szín, ami mályvásnak vagy csokoládébarnának látszik, ha olyan a fényviszony. Igazi vámpírkisasszonyos árnyalat, így még jó, hogy kedvenc lett.

It has a flawless cream finish that is easy to apply. The Brazil collection has perfect cream nail polishes anyway, so I am not surprised. It has full coverage in two coats, and it also has a beautiful shiny finish. I didn't use a top coat.

Hibátlan krém lakk ez, ami nem csíkoz, és amit nagyon könnyű felvinni. Teljes a fedése 2 rétegben, és nagyon fényes, már-már gél hatású, amikor megszárad. Nem használtam fedőlakkot, így jól látni a képeken is ezt a hatást.

It doesn't stain the nails/skin, and it was surprisingly easy to remove (dark cream polishes usually smear everywhere while removing them). The formula is great.

Nem színezi meg se a körmöket, se a bőrt, és meglepően könnyű lemosni. A sötétebb lakkok általában mindenhova kenődnek és mindent összefognak, amikor eltávolítja őket az ember. 

OPI Scores A Goal!

The lasting power is excellent, it easily lasts for 7 days without chipping, and again, I did not use a top coat. All of my OPI nail polishes last up to 7 days, even on their own.

A tartóssága kiváló, könnyedén elüldögél az ember körmén 7 napig is lepattanás nélkül. Fedőlakkal persze ezt a 7 napot is meghosszabbíthatjuk. Eddig az összes OPI lakkom ilyen jól bírta a körmeimen, ez is az egyik oka annak, hogy nagy kedvenceim lettek. A másik pedig az, hogy OPI-ék  nagyon figyelnek az összetevőikre, és egy lakkjukban sincs formaldehid vagy DBP, de erről majd egy másik bejegyzésben írok bővebben.

Peach and copper shades aren't the only ones to enhance blue eyes, and purple tones aren't the only ones to make green eyes pop either. Today's look is suitable both for blue, green and grey eyes, and the colours I used aren't crazy either. 

A mai sminket eredetileg nem a világos szem kiemelésére szántam, de sikerült olyan színekkel dolgozni, amik ezt a feladatot látják el. Nem csak barack és rozsda színű árnyalatokkal emelhetjük ki a kék szemet, és a zöldet sem csak lilával. A színkerék sem a világ közepe. A szemhéjpúderek, amiket használtam, szolidan emelik ki a világos szemszínt, így iskolába vagy munkába is bátran felkenhetőek.

It wasn't my intention to create this look specifically for light eyes, but it turned out that the eyeshadow combination makes my eyes pop quite a bit, so why not focus on that.

Amikor nekiálltam elkészíteni ezt a sminket (novemberben), csak annyi volt a célom, hogy az összes akkor újnak számító sminkemet használjam: a Catrice matt palettáját, az új szatén-matt rúzsokat és a szürkéslila 3D szemhéjpúdert, amit épp akkor vettem. Kiderült aztán, hogy a smink szépen kiemeli a szemszínemet, így gondoltam, hogy akkor fókuszáljunk erre. A színkerék nem az egyetlen opció, amikor szeretnénk kiemelni a szemszínünket.

I wanted to use my new products to create this look (in November), so that's what I did. I used the new Catrice matt palette and their new lipsticks as well, you'll see 2 lip options to pair with the look.

A szürkéslila szemhéjpúder került a mozgó szemhéjra. Az árnyalat lila tónusa segít kiemelni a világos szemet, de ugyanakkor nem tolakodó, mert a szürke is megjelenik benne. A lila árnyalatok elméletben főleg a zöld szemmel harmonizálnak, de gyakorlatban a legtöbb szemszínnel csodásak (ha nem az összessel). Mivel ebben a szemhéjpúderben csak szolidan jelenik meg a lila, pont kiemeli a világos szemszínt, de nem feltétlenül hívja fel magára a figyelmet, hogy "Helló, lila szemhéjpúder vagyok!".

The shades I used are universal in terms of enhancing light eyes. I used a dark greyish mauve on the lid, the purple tone of the eyeshadow works specifically for green eyes in theory, but in practice, it looks great with blue and grey eyes as well. (Honestly, purple tones looks great with all eye colours)

I shaded my  crease with a warm matt brown, and lined my lower lashline with a warm bronze shade. I used Catrice's new eyebrow pen to line my eyes, it's a lovely deep brown shade (it was too dark for my brows, obviously). I wish that Catrice would make an eyeliner like this, in black colour. Brush tip marker liners are very popular both in Asia and America (Dolly Wink, Kat Von D, Stila liners, you name it), so why not make one for us Central-European peeps too, right?

A világos szemek kiemelését tovább lehet fokozni egy meleg barna árnyalattal a mélyítővonalban, bronzos szemceruzával az alsó szempilláknál, és barna tussal a felső szempilláknál.

A Catrice Mauves Like Jagger 3D szemhéjpúderét használtam az egész szemhéjon (ami a névvel ellentétesen inkább szürkéslila, mint mályva árnyalat). A Catrice matt paletta barnái kerültek a mélyítővonalba, és tusként a legsötétebb Catrice szemöldöktust használtam, ami túl sötét a szemöldökömön, de az ecsetes tusfej miatt gyönyörűen lehet vele dolgozni cicás szemek elkészítésénél.

Bárcsak bekerülne hozzánk egy fekete színű is a Catrice háza tájáról, kifejezetten tusvonal elkészítésére. Azok a tusfilcek, amiknek ecsetes a feje, már évek óta népszerűek Ázsiában (pl Dolly Wink tus), és Amerikában is nagyon szeretik őket (Kat Von D és Stila tusok). Az Essence most fog bevezetni egy ecsetes végű tusfilcet, alig várom. Ez persze nem változtat a tényen, hogy a sötétbarna Catrice szemöldöktus szuper a szem kihúzására is.

The warm bronze and brown colour theme helps light eyes to stand out, yet the colour are subtle enough to wear them to school or work.
