The somewhat new Lovely limited collection has been around for a few weeks now. The collection entails two speckled crelly polishes, and a handful of neons. I will talk about the crellies today.

Lovely Cosmetics Pastel Pepper nail polish

I have been absolutely mesmerised by crelly nail polishes, and it is a great feeling that I can just walk into a drugstore and buy one. That being said, the LE has only 2 crellies, and I bought all two of them. Crellies are kind of hard to find (here in Hungary), unless you order from an indie maker.

If you are not familiar with the expression crelly, it is basically a hybrid between cream and jelly, and means that it is able to cover the nail line, but the lil glitter particles still show through from the first layer. I think that Illamasqua started this trend two years ago, I even have a blogpost about those nail polishes.

The crelly base has really good coverage, it is almost too strong of a coverage, because it covers quite a few glitter parts entirely. You don't want that, you want them to show through. Make sure that you apply thin layers.

They both cover entirely in two coats. The formula is on the thick side, but it is still easy to work with. There are two sizes of hex glitter in them, one being very tiny, and the other kind is somewhat bigger (but still tiny). Love them!

Black glitter crellies always remind me of Stracciatella ice cream or vanilla seeds.

One thing that is kind of on the negative side besides the too high coverage is the fact that they are not pastel. They look almost neon on the nails, so the lovely pastel hue that can be seen in the bottle is not what you get on your nails. Just be aware of that. Still, I think that these lovely gems are a steal for the money, I bought mine for $2-3.

I really hope that Lovely makes these type of nail polishes permanent, and I also cross my fingers that more shades will be added to the PP family. This is only theory though, but it would be a shame if they did not add these pepper polishes to the permanent range.

Now let's move on to the orange shade, it is Nr. 1. (I still wish that Lovely would name their polishes instead of just numbering them). It is a bright orange with lil black glitter, that's about it. I already described the glitter and the coverage. This one would be nice for Halloween too.

I do not wear a top coat on top of the orange one, so you can see the very slight texture of the finish. I wear a top coat on the blue one, you'll see it below.

The blue one is numbered as Nr. 2, and it is a very bright, acid-like blue on the nails. Again, it looks like a soft baby blue in the bottle, but the cake is a lie.

As I say it above, I added a top coat to this one. It smooths out the surface just perfectly, but again, the texture of the glitter is so fine that you can totally get away without using a top coat.

I am really glad that a Central-European brand has come out with crelly polishes. I would definitely pick them up if I were you, because they are unique enough to get a hold of them. Not being a nail polish ~~hoarder~~ junkie, I still think that you would like these. Big thumbs up to Lovely Cosmetics!

Today's blogpost is about a spring / summer look that features two lip options. The focus is on a handful of Makeup Revolution products that I wanted to show in action.

It was about 13 months ago (!!) that I received a gift with Makeup Revolution goodies in it, solely to celebrate the fact that the brand is available to Hungary as well via the Pink Panda website. I applied them to my face right away, right after opening the box. That means that these photos are a year old now. That's what I meant by saying that I am a year behind with my MUR posts.

The first lip option os a pastel baby pink, and the product I used is a lipstick & lipgloss duo, you will see it below.

The second lip option is a bright neon fuchsia pink (matte lip cream), which is basically the only colour that I don't like out of all the colours that exist. We could say that this look was a complete "stepping out of the comfort zone" kind of challenge.

You can see that when it dries, it darkens a little (photo above). It could easily be a dupe of Candy Yum Yum, and I suspect that it is a dupe for a Lime Crime Velvetine as well.

We all know the scray stuff that went down with Lime Crime, so if you want Velvetine dupes, I'd suggest to check out the MUR matte lip creams (if you are in Europe, that is. There are a crap ton of American companies that make exact Velvetine dupes now, so American peeps are pretty much saved.)

Somehow I just cannot stand this kind of lip colour on blonde people, but I have to admit that it doesn't look that bad. I ordered a different shade of their matte lip creams since then, and my wishlist is also fully packed with them.

There is a certain way you have to apply and wear these; they are not for everyone. That being said, my lips are never dry (ever), so I am very happy to use them. These lip creams are the ultimate definition of matte lip products.

I created a neutral eye look, using the mono eyeshadow and the Sticks and Stones palette. The mono eyeshadow is on the inner third of my lid, and the rest of the eye look was created with the neutral shades of the palette.

I feel like that these smaller, 16 piece eyeshadow and brow palettes need more attention. I own about 10 MUR palettes now, but I use this one the most because it is so small that I can travel with it very easily. It also has neutral and colourful shades, so I don't need anything else, except for a matte cream shade. Being a brow palette as well, I can do my brows with it too. The lighter one is a perfect match for very light blondes. These little gems need more love, for sure.

Makeup Revolution launched a year ago, and their products went through the beauty community like a tornado. Their products are great; they usually create dupes for well-known beauty products, for less money. Today I am reviewing a palette that is quite underrated in my opinion, so let's shine some light on this little gem.

- compact, travel-friendly and small size

- it includes 14 shimmery and duochrome eyeshadows

- it also includes 2 matte brow powders (can be also used as eyeshadows)

- sleek

- comes with a tiny angled brush and a sponge tip applicator

One thing that I don't particularly like is the closure of the palette. It has a unique, button-like snap, so it is very hard to open and close. I usually have to open it with a nail file or some kind of sleek and sharp tool. You cannot really have a grip on it because the palette is so thin.

The shadows are very pigmented and buttery, Makeup Revolution is best at their eyeshadows in my opinion. They are excellent, both the shimmers and the mattes. Some shades in the right row have a blue or gold, douchrome-like sheen to them, which is pretty amazing. The green colour has a gold shine, while the purple and the blue colours have a blue sheen to them. The bright pink in that same row is matte. (Again, right row, when you are looking at it vertically).

There is only one shade that is very crumbly and soft, the pale gold on the top, next to the white. Be very careful when applying it, or else you might hit pan on it after 2 uses. The white next to the gold has fallout, so tap your brush before applying it. The other shades are very creamy and pigmented. The matte shades are great as crease or eyebrow colours, they don't have a lot of fallout. The light brown is perfect for very light blondes.

The swatches that I've seen online so far are so weak and crappy that it's not even funny. Have some actual true swatches, because these lil shadows are pigmented as hell. I did not use a base under my swatches, I never do.

The Sticks & Stones palette is my favourite palette for traveling, because it fits perfectly in my makeup bag (which is quite small), it has both neutrals and fun colours, and it also has matte shades for the brows and for the crease. Can you wish for more? Well, maybe a matte cream shade would have been nice, but I usually take a single matte cream eyeshadow with me anyway.

I tried to search for these 16 palettes on the MUR website and on the Pink Panda website, and I cannot find them. This concerns me, because discontinuing them would be a mistake.

I am here to show you two China Glaze nail polishes from the latest Halloween collection. Why now? Because one of them is a gorgeous shade for spring, and the other one is very similar to an OPI nail polish. This is a photo heavy post.

China Glaze Apocalypse of Color - Don't Let The Dead Bite; Getting To Gnaw You

I bought both of them in March I think, they were 50% off at the Nailland website, which is a sweet deal for such lovely polishes. Older CG Halloween collections were famous for zombie green shades (such as Zombie Zest and It's Alive), and unfortunately I wasn't able to buy any of those. China Glaze wasn't available in my country back then, and now those shades are ridiculously expensive on ebay.

These two are my first Halloween polishes by CG, and that is pretty exciting for me, because Halloween is my favourite Holiday, even though we don't celebrate it in this country (I sure do).

The black one is called Getting To Gnaw You, and it is a black jelly base nail polish with copper glitter. I bought it because it is very similar to Today I Accomplished Zero by OPI, except that one has darker pink glitter in it. I missed the entire Coca Cola OPI collection last year, and judging by the photos, Getting To Gnaw You is pretty similar to TIAZ. I will still order the OPI one from ebay, I just simply need that nail polish in my life. It is me in a nail polish bottle, and it has possibly the best nail polish shade name ever.

Getting To Gnaw You is opaque in two coats, and it dries to a slightly textured finish because of the glitter. You'll need a good top coat to smooth it out. I used two coats of Seche Vite, but the Essence BTGN top coat will work the same. The copper / rose gold glitter is just adorable.

Don't Let The Dead Bite is a peach crelly glitter with red shiny microglitter, bar glitter and bigger hex glitter. It is supposed to look like blood splatter, and it really does. It also reminds me of the result of a headshot, aka bloody brain pieces. It is just amazing, I love morbid and gross things like that. The horror fan in me is really happy.

Now if I approach the shade from a different point of view, it is really just a soft peach crelly with red glitter. It will not look skin-like on darker skintones, therefore it can be a beautiful spring crelly polish. I loved it so much that I actually bought a backup as well.

China Glaze Don't Let The Dead Bite

I can make it look nice in one coat only if I carefully dab and pat the glitter. If you want to make sure that it looks good, apply two coats. It does not have a textured finish, thank goodness. The other two shades that I did not buy are both textured polishes, and that is a turn off for me. They have a very odd texture. (Now I diss them, but just watch me buying those anyway in a month or two. Always happens.)

The Catrice Ultimate Stay lipsticks joined the permanent range last autumn. They have many shades to choose from, and I am going to review two of them. I will show you lip and hand swatches as well.

Catrice Ultimate Stay satin-matt lipsticks

As Catrice claims:

"Strong and Sophisticated. Intensive colours and a trendy satin-matt finish. The highly pigmented, longlasting texture has a convincing high coverage without drying out the sensitive skin on your lips. A lovely companion for every day. Now available in a total of twelve colours including passionate red and pink shades, purple and nudes."

I pretty much agree with all of the claims above.

Catrice Ultimate Stay lipsticks - all shades

They indeed have a satin-like finish, they are not even close to being cement-like matt. You will see the slight sheen below, when I show them on my lips. They have a thin consistency and high pigmentation, even though you will need to reapply them after eating. Without eating, they last a good couple of hours. They have a slight vanilla scent, it is basically the exact same scent as the smell of the MAC lippies.

These lipsticks come in a heavy black (matt metal / chalkboard-like) tube that is cold to the touch. It's really weird, I don't really like the feel of it in my hands. The stickers on the bottom match the colour of the lipstick.

Mauve Your Lips; Plum & Base

Once you apply them, you don't even feel them on the lips, which is a good thing for most people. I tend to prefer lipsticks with a waxier / creamier consistency. It is really just personal preference, it doesn't mean that the lipsticks are bad. If you like thin lipsticks, these are for you.

Both shades are beautiful, one is a mauve nude and the other one is a warm plum shade. The dark one was my go-to lipstick last fall/winter. The nude lippie goes with anything and looks good on most (if not all) skintones.

All in all, these Ultimate Stay lipsticks are just fine, but not my favourite. They are very pigmented and not drying. The colour selection is amazing, everyone will find a shade that suits them. They live up to their own claims, I just happen to prefer creamier lipsticks.

My bigges issue is the feel of the packaging, it gives me chills once I touch it. It's like when someone is scratching a blackboard with nails; touching the lipstick tube gives me that exact bad feeling. As I said, it's personal preference, I am sure some of you will like the heavy, chalkboard-like tubes.

I am here to show you an insane amount of empty products. Grab a cup of tea, it is going to be a long post. I will show you my first makeup items I've ever gotten.

I have to do it in two parts, this is part 1, as you guessed. I have a crap ton of products to go through. You will notice that the photos were taken with my previous camera. I photographed these in September, 2013. Let's start:

Aveo Cherry body wash:

I used it as bubble bath. Liked it, it was nice. Repurchase: maybe.

ACNE.ORG Treatment:

I've talked about this before, it is a miracle worker benzoyl-peroxide gel for bad skin. BP is the only ingredient that keeps my skin clear. It is simply just miracle in a tube. Repurchase: yes, already have. TRY IT!

Treacle Moon My Coconut Island body scrub:

Smells amazing, works fine. Repurchase: yes, already have.

Fennel Cream Body Yogurt (Strawberry Cream):

These Fennel body creams are great. They are like a body soufflée that smells delicious and hydrates nicely. The packaging is adorable. Repurchase: yes, already have.

Dove Summer Glow body lotion with self-tanner and shimmer:

I adore these, they used to be my HG lotions for summer. The shimmer looks amazing on slightly tan skin; it smells addictive, and the self-tanner in it is subtle yet effective. They don't make them with shimmer anymore, but they do make this self-tanner kind of lotion. Repurchase: yes!

Dove Supreme body lotion with shimmer:

I bought it because said self-tanner lotion has no shimmer in it anymore. This one had no self-tanner in it, just the shimmer. It looked amazing and smelled nice. I don't think that they make these anymore. I would repurchase it.

Eveline Spa body lotion (goat milk and vanilla):

I received it as a gift from a friend, it smelled good and felt nice on the skin. Purchase: nah, I prefer Dove.

Essence hand protection balms (Raspberry Chocolate Cookie; Rooibos Tea & Blackberry)

Both are limited edition pieces, and I just love them. I originally had 12 of them in different scents, and now I only have 3 because I used them all up. These two are my favourite scents, and the absolute winner is the blackberry one. I have never smelled anything that good in my life. Too bad it was in a LE. Interesting and surprising: they moisturise better than the pricey-fancy L'Occitane ones. I usually use them for nighttime deep hydration. Repurchase: can't buy these scents, but the Essence handcreams are excellent, so yes!

Softino baby wipes:

These were fine, I occasionally used them on my face, and mostly used them to wipe off swatches / clean up my makeup items. They dry out too quickly because of the silly tape at the opening. Repurchase: maybe, I prefer baby wipes with the sturdier plastic closure.

Bebe Young Care 3in1 makeup remover wipes:

These are the best makeup wipes I've tried so far, even though they don't remove mascara all that easily. I don't really use makeup wipes, they were a gift with purchase kinda deal. I recommend them if you do use wipes, they are very nice. I just find that makeup wipes are very pricey for what they are, and a bottle of micellar water is around the same price, lasts longer and it is just allover better than wipes. (Not the Garnier water though, that one blows goats). Repurchase: maybe.

Aveo Sensitiv liquid soap:

It was okay for the family, but it dried out my skin. Repurchase: not for me. For the family, maybe.

Balea Dark Glamour liquid soap:

I loved the scent of this, and bought it mainly for the scent. It was limited edition, unfortunately. Balea soaps dry out my hands too. Repurchase: can't anymore. Discontinued.

Iseree cotton pads (buy these at Lidl):

I used a sh!t ton of these in the last couple of years. They work fine, my issue is that they are not 100% cotton. I've read that these kind of cotton pads can break out the skin, so I'm using different ones now. Repurchase: no more.

These were samples from ebay, I love that Koreans always give you a lot of samples, even when you purchase them online. God bless their heart. I would purchase all of these in the full size. The sunblock smells delicious.

Collagenceutical emulsion samples:

I used these lil samples for a good 3-4 weeks, and I would totally buy the full size, even though I haven't looked up the ingredients yet. My skin felt very plump and hydrated after using them. Big thumbs up! IDK if it fills the wrinkles though, I would guess that they do not. Nothing really reduces wrinkles, except retinoids (as far as I know).

Now we move on to my very first makeup items I've ever bought. Oh boy. (I am not counting my child makeup kit, I still have that one, it is badass)

Suhada Liquid Makeup #3 (extremely dark orange):

Bought it at Lidl when they still carried cosmetics. It was nice, but I totally bought the wrong shade. I was 14 years old and knew nothing about colour matching my foundations. Let's be real, it is still kinda difficult to find the perfect colour match in foundations. Repurchase: can't, and would not.

Miss Sporty So Clear Anti-blemish foundation (01 Light)

After choosing the wrong tone at Lidl, I was very determined to get a light shade, and it was a success. It was my first real foundation, and it was okay. It didn't do anything with breakouts, and had sheer coverage. Repurchase: no. I bet they don't even make these anymore. Still, it is a sentimental piece. I remember the exact day and place when I bought it. Actually, my mom bought it for me. (Essence wasn't even in Hungary at that time)

Essence Soft & Natural Make-up (01 Ivory):

These Soft & Natural foundations are amazing and underrated as hell. They last long, smell nice, apply effortlessly, and have no colour selection whatsoever, so that might be the problem. This 01 shade was discontinued years ago, and the current lightest shade is my summer shade, meaning that it is kinda dark for fair peeps. Still, if you aren't the palest of the pale, give these a try. They are A-MA-ZING. God bless the S&N foundations. I have two of them in my stash now, but not in this lightest shade. Repurchase: can't rp the shade, will rp the foundation.

Catrice Prime And Fine Smoothing Refiner (aka pore minimizing primer):

It is a very nice, silicon-based primer. It optically smooths out the skin. I already have a second jar that I'm using now. I have a review up on the blog somewhere, go and find it. Repurchase: yes, already have.

Random brand (can't see the name, DUO ripoff) black toned eyelash glue:

Did not work at all, apply water to the lashes for the same effect. Disappointing. Repurchase: hell no.

Mini Nivea cream:

It was okay, bought it for my mom I guess. I personally don't like Nivea at all, bad ingredients and sharp, unpleasant smell. Repurchase: no.

Blistex Classic Lip Protector:

Love these lipbalms, they are a lot better than Carmex. They are not minty, thank goodness. They have a very odd texture, it's kinda silicone-like and creamy at the same time. Works nice on dry lips. The Isana Intensiv is still better and cheaper, but I would totally repurchase these as well. I've used up many.

Essence Sun Club Refreshing & Moisturising lipgloss with SPF (transparent)

My first Essence product ever is the one at the bottom, the shade is It-piece, and I have a backup, OF COURSE! Still, it was my first Essence product, can you believe that? I love Essence glosses, but the newer ones tend to go bad quite fast. I have about 60 more to use up. Aaalmost there.

Avon Advance Techniques Daily Shine Dry Ends Serum:

Love it. It is probably the first overhyped product that is really good. It made my hair shiny and easy to comb. Repurchase: yes.

Clinique All About Eyes eye cream:

Probably the most overhyped eye cream that does not necessarily worth the hype. I bought it for my mom, but she couldn't use it because it burned her skin. It was just OK for me, but considering the price of it, you can buy many similar eyecreams for 1/4 price with the exact same benefits and ingredients. Big disappointment. Also, Clinique is ridiculously expensive here. Repurchase: no.

Clean & Clear Quick Clear Treatment Gel:

Did not do anything at all. Repurchase: no.

The China Glaze Electric Nights summer collection was inspired by electronic music, and it offers three neon glitter toppers and nine neon creme polishes. I will show you the neon glitter toppers today (by themselves, as a jelly sandwich, and with matte top coat as well). This is a photo heavy post.

I knew I wanted to buy these toppers as soon as I first saw them at the end of February. You don't see neon glitter polishes often. Most of them are made by indie brands that are hard to access, or you cannot access them at all if you are from Central Europe. Claire's occasionally offers neon glitter toppers though.

You will only see swatchstick swatches of the orange one, because I bought that one later than the other two. The fingernail swatches were photographed 2 months ago, while I bought the orange glitter about 15 days ago. I've worn it since then, but my nails weren't in shape back then, so I'll upload it to instagram when I wear it again. Until then, please enjoy the swatchstick of the orange coloured glitter.

China Glaze Let The Beat Drop

Let The Beat Drop has orange, magenta and purple hex glitters. The base is slightly tinted orange because of the glitter. I did not buy this one at first, saying that I don't need it, and when I changed my mind, it was sold out. As I said, I was lucky enough to find the last one of it at a Nailland display 2 weeks ago, whee! It is gorgeous.
